PADI Diver Propulsion Vehicle (DPV) Diver Course

Take the Master Scuba Diver Challenge Today!

Soaring through the water with a propulsion vehicle is like flying through space -you have to experience it to believe it! DPVs allow you to cover a greater distance underwater, see more on your dive and experience diving like never before! During this course, you'll:

  • The planning, organization, procedures, techniques, problems, and hazards of diving with a DPV.
  • Equipment considerations including but not limited to battery care, maintenance and precautions.
  • Proper procedures for:
    • Determining a turnaround point
    • Vehicle failure
    • Runaway motor
    • Descents and ascents
    • Avoiding propeller entanglements.
  • Techniques to avoid harming fragile aquatic life.
  • Techniques for entering and exiting the water with a DPV.

Prerequisite    PADI Open Water Diver, Jr. PADI Open Water Diver (or other qualifying certification) and be at least 12 years old.

Price    $115.00 (Deduct $20.00 if you are crediting one dive from your PADI Adventure Diver or PADI Advanced Open Water Diver course)
